Not your average NASCAR race: At the Roval 400 in Charlotte, The Cars Don’t Just Turn Left
Working with the Queens News Service, I was able to interview Nascar engineer, Steve Hoegler of Joe Gibbs Racing who was designing new cars for the Bank of America Roval 400. I was able to produce a video to communicate the Process Hoegler goes through when designing and the importance of this specific NASCAR race. A classmate and I then wrote a piee which was published both by The Charlotte Observer and WFAE.

July Newsletter Stories
In the monthly newsletter Habitat for Humanity I produced two stories which included research as well as interviews with Habitat employees. "GSHFH to build two houses at once in Holyoke" was a story about the unique opportunity the nonprofit had been given to simultaneously build two houses side by side. The second story titled "Habitat works to ease the housing crisis" zoomed out to look at the overall housing issues in Greater Springfield and highlighted how Habitat is working to make a change.

College athletes in Mecklenburg County Grind Their Way into Endorsement Deals
As apart of the Queens News Service a classmate and I produced a story focusing on the differences collegiate athletes from large universities and small universities face when obtaining Name Image and Likeness (NIL) deals. We worked together interviewing sports agents, the Queens compliance director and student athletes with NIL deals to create this story. The editing process was with my professor and two graduate assistants. To add a visual dimension to the story I shot a couple of still photographs to include in the story. This story was published by WFAE.

Charlotte's Greek Festival Video Package
With the Queens News Service we covered the annual Charlotte Greek Festival and Greek dance program performance. In a team with two other videographers I filmed clips from the dress rehearsal for the show. This video work was then edited together to fit the story.
